Autism Behaviour Consultation

SDRC offers behaviour consultation for youth ages 14–21 who have a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder and are currently attending school.

The purpose of these consultations is to support both youth and their caregivers in managing challenges such as physical aggression, school refusal, and anxiety, while also building important skills. Areas of focus may include daily living skills, social skills, emotional regulation, and overall independence. Consultation follows a mediator model, where the behaviour consultant works closely with clients and caregivers to implement strategies and build long-term capacity to support the individual.
